About the Nichupté Lagoon

Our tours take place in the beautiful Nichupté Lagoon, a coastal nature reserve spanning seven fresh and saltwater lagoons.

This lagoon is a protected natural area of flora and fauna, with abundant species of plants and animals, including the protected species of red mangrove, which is of great importance for the coastal ecosystem of Quintana Roo Channels.

During the tour of the lagoon, you will be able to spot various species of local birds and fish, including albatrosses, hawks, herons, cormorants, barracudas, stingrays, pufferfish, starfish, needlefish, and many others.

The waters in the lagoon are calm and easy to navigate. Ideal for beginners!
