Advanced Open Water Certification

Minimum Requirements: You must have successfully completed the Open Water Certification by PADI

A1: The PADI’s Open Water Diver course® is the world’s most popular and widely-recognized scuba diving certification. With our course, you will be able to call yourself a certified diver in as little as 5 days!

A2: The course includes theoretical and practical classes. During the theoretical class, you will learn the correct use and operation of the scuba gear, breathing techniques, and the PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) manual. The practical part includes five dives in the MUSA Underwater Museum of Art and the Manchones Reef. At the end of the course, you will have to take and pass the PADI final exam to get your certification.

A3: We will provide the complete scuba gear. Rental gear is included in the price.

A4: Yes, you will receive the PADI® Open Water Diver certification after you complete the course and pass the PADI exam. The PADI certification is a life-long certificate with no expiration date.

A5: You can get your diving certification with us in as little as 5 days.

A6: Yes, all course material is included in the price.

A7: The open water training dives will take place at the MUSA Underwater Museum of Art and the Manchones Reef in Isla Mujeres.

A8: You need to have basic swimming skills and be able to comfortably maintain yourself in the water. Your instructor will assess your swimming ability by having you swim 200 meters/yards (or 300 meters/yards in mask, fins, and snorkel), and float and tread water for 10 minutes.

A9: We require all participants to be at least 12 years old.
